Svetlik Family Office

CEO

Gašper Svetlik

Gašper has always seen himself working for the family business. After spending 25 years at Hidria, founded by his father Edvard, where he gained a wealth of experience, he finds it difficult to describe the excitement of co-founding and running the family office and helping to create the charitable foundation. To continue what Edvard and Ivi started, to create and develop something new, to grow, to strive, to leave a footprint, a legacy.

Gašper majored in International Relations in Ljubljana and later completed an MBA at Bayes Business School in London (formerly Cass) with a focus on international finance. Hidria was his first employer in 1995 at the age 19, where he started as a junior associate, moving through the ranks and finally became a member of the management board in 2012, responsible for finance and human resources. He gained international experience by managing Hidria's companies in the UK and in Switzerland. One of his greatest achievements was leading Hidria’s financial and organisational restructuring from 2014 to 2018, one of the most complex in the region. He left Hidria in 2021 after 25 years of an extensive career. After that, his focus shifted to finding the right business model for the family. These activities eventually led to the idea of establishing the Svetlik Family Office and its charitable foundation.
