Managing Director & CEO Svetlik Charitable Foundation

Urška Svetlik

Urška loves new challenges. And meeting new people. And she is excited to continue what she started many years ago: supporting young people.
With her vast experience and global network, and of course her Cavapoo dog Poppy always by her side, Urška is very happy to be able to help and support young people. She cannot wait to see them reach their potential, and perhaps even more importantly, have fun.

Urška majored in business at Manhattan Marrymount College, in USA. She returned to Slovenia to join one of the most important M&A offices in Slovenia, Aktiva MAI. After a few years there, she moved to Hidria, first to the controlling department and later becoming the head of business development, M&A and the legal department. She spent a great deal of time working on major acquisitions and divestments. She played an indispensable role in the financial restructuring and reorganisation of the Group. She left Hidria in 2020 and in 2021 she was recognised by the Austrian government, a major trading partner of Slovenia, as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Austria for Western Slovenia.
